Today I saw the scene of Tokyo Waterfront on the Rainbow Bridge under the blue sky in autum.

Mr.G

Today I met Mr.G at the first time.

His house was located at deep in the mountains and the view from his house was wonderful.

He was very gentle and his smile was charming.

I saw his hand-made violin, and it was very elegant and beatiful.

I am looking forward to see him the next month.

Sangayaki

I cooked Sangayaki which was one of the Japanese traditional fisherman's cooking.

I cut some horse mackerels, long onions, and green shiso leaves into small pieces and then added miso.

All of them were mixed and beaten by a kitchen knife (so called "tataki" in Japanese) and pan-fried.

This is my favorite cooking and it is very healthy and delicious.

An old fallen tree

I walked in a needleleaf forest at North-Yatsugatake.

There was an old fallen tree covered with moss.

I deeply breathed in fresh air with phytoncide and I imagined the long long history of nature.
My mind became to be at peace.

Escher's exhibition

Today I visited M.C.Escher's exhibition at Sakura City Museum of Art, titled "The Eternal Labyrinth".

This photo is a model of the stairs to climb and climb eternally.

I think that his art is very delicate, mysterious, and wonderful.

I love it!

My family visited Yashimagahara Marsh in Nagano Prefecture this summer vacation.

Here is a high-altitude marsh and recognized as a national natural treasure.

We enjoyed hiking and met so many flowers.

This beatiful flower is called "Kawara-nadesiko". "Nadesiko" means Japanese Lady.

It reminds me the old good days.

Ohga-hasu came from 2000 years ago.

This is "Ohga-hasu". The lotus are in full bloom at Chiba Park now.

The source of this flower was only one seed discovered by Dr. Ohga's group in 1951.

On investigation, the seed proved to be 2000 years old!

It was very surprising that the seed came into bud and developed bloom.

How powerful the life is!

Unaju is delicious in summer!

We Japanese often eat an "Unaju" in summer. Unaju is a rice and broiled eel.

I went to the special eel restaurant named Kawatoyo near the street in Naritasan.

The cook was opening and cutting live eel and broiling it in front of us.

It's very aromatic and excellent.

If you have a chance to go to Narita, try to find it!
